
Banner Season: Semifinals set with four teams left in the running for a title
Oshawa, Ont. (via Ontario Tech Ridgebacks) – The final four is set in Oshawa and Sunday a champion will be crowned at the OUA Women's Curling Championship, hosted by Ontario Tech University.
Wrapping up round-robin play on Saturday afternoon, the quarterfinals went Saturday night at Oshawa Golf and Curling Club.
The 2023 U SPORTS national championship host Laurentian Voyageurs topped the undefeated Trent Excalibur 4-3 in their quarterfinal clash. Oshawa is where Laurentian won their program's first OUA title in 2017. They subsequently went on to win the national title that year.
Queen's, McMaster, and TMU also advanced through the semifinal round. Queen's and McMaster finished with 3-1 records in pool play, while TMU was 2-2 in their pool.
The Gaels won 5-4, while McMaster earned a 7-3 win over Western in seven ends. TMU rebounded to top Waterloo 5-4 after falling 9-1 to them earlier.
Laurentian will face TMU, while McMaster and Queen's meet at 10 a.m. in the semifinals.
