By the Numbers: Leaders on the links impress at invitationals
 - Week 5 (1).png)
90 - There has been a flair for the dramatic on the pitch this season, and with numerous players having stepped up in the final minutes for their teams, the latest to do so is Tyrell Chambers. The Nipissing defender shone both offensively and defensively in the 3-2 win over Queen's, but his most significant, and clutch, contribution was a successful penalty kick in the 90th minute of play that gave his Lakers the win.

69 - A reigning OUA all-star, Guelph's Justin Allen has been firing on all cylinders thus far in his 2022 outings. His latest stretch saw him net a pair of top-two finishes at the McMaster Invitational and Brock Invitational, respectively. Before finishing in a tie for second at the latter, the Gryphons standout topped the field of 54 golfers in the former, clearing his next closest competitor by two strokes with his round of -3 (69) on the day.

4 - The nation's goal-scoring leader was at it again this past weekend, as Cassandra Provost continues to find the back of the net for her No. 3 Ottawa Gee-Gees. In the team's latest tilts with Ontario Tech and Trent, respectively, the second-year forward netted four tallies, starting with a single strike against the Ridgebacks and rounding out the weekend with a hat trick in a decisive 4-1 win over the Excalibur. Provost now has 10 goals on the year.

2 - Under soggy conditions at the Sawmill Golf Course in Fenwick, Ont. on Sunday, Laurier's Vanessa Lin shot a +1 (72) to secure the win at the Brock Invitational. Her individual prowess not only anchored a second straight team win for the Hawks, but her second straight solo title following her identical finish at the McMaster Invitational less than a week prior.

1 - The OUA women's soccer scene has witnessed plenty of impressive performances so far this season as teams continue to jockey for positioning. Amidst the roller coaster ride of results thus far, only one of 19 teams remains undefeated, with the No. 4 Queen's Gaels' 4-0-2 mark making them the final conference competitor without a loss on the year.
 - Week 5 (6).png)
0 - For the first time in program history, a Toronto Metropolitan University pitcher was perfect. Matt Tohana took the mound in the back end of the Bold's double-header on Saturday and tossed an efficient 78-pitch perfect game. He commanded all of this pitches and kept York hitters off balance across the seven-inning affair to ensure the Lions offence posted zeros across the board in the 6-0 win.
