OUA announces partnership with SeeWhatSheCanDo for 2022-23 season
SeeWhatSheCanDo (SWSCD) is a media and marketing company serving and showcasing active and sport-loving women at all levels of activity - from the local recreational league to the pinnacle of high-performance sport. SWSCD is excited to deliver community, adventures, stories, and resources that will inspire and help keep women on the move.
"We're excited to partner with the OUA," said Caroline Wiley, SWSCD President and Co-Founder, "and together showcase some of Canada's best student-athletes and raise the profile of university athletics throughout Ontario".
Anchored in the efforts to spotlight OUA student-athletes will be a new initiative, See How She Got Started. In the hopes of inspiring others to do the same, these features will help to tell the story of how some of the conference's talented student-athletes first got involved in sport and made their way to the varsity stage on which they currently shine.
"The OUA is thrilled to be working with SeeWhatSheCanDo and spotlighting more of our student-athletes along their athletic and academic careers," said Chris Verlaan, OUA Manager of Digital & Communications. "What SWSCD is already doing to build meaningful, engaged communities is incredible and we look forward to creating new content that showcases the same level of enthusiasm, opportunity, and support within the university sport landscape as well."
The first-of-its-kind digital platform also provides active women and their supporters coverage of 67 different activities and access to more than 60,000 local sport and recreation businesses operating across Canada.
