Lancers Anes earns nod as top 2023 Milk2Go Sport ambassador
Burlington, Ont. – Following another successful season of the Milk2Go Sport brand ambassador program, Ontario University Athletics, on behalf of Milk2Go Sport, is pleased to announce that the top ambassador for 2023 is Isabella Anes from the University of Windsor.
“I would like to thank the OUA and Saputo for giving me the opportunity to represent Milk2Go Sport throughout this season,” said Anes.
A second-year student-athlete from the Lancers women’s basketball team, Anes has been consistent in her messaging during her time as an ambassador. According to the human kinetics major, what drew her to the program initially was the ability to “help other student-athletes to stay properly fueled throughout their season,” while also “advocating for adequate nutrition for performance on the court and in the classroom”.
This sentiment continued through to the completion of her content, as she explained that the most enjoyable part of the program was the ability to “share the product with other people and see their reaction and appreciation to it”.
Anes’ efforts throughout the 10-week stretch not only featured plenty of engagement with her fellow Lancers, including a half-court shot challenge with her women’s basketball teammates and an interview with members of the men’s volleyball squad prior to their OUA championship match, but also a great deal of insight into the benefits of Milk2Go Sport while training and staying active.
Her content remained insightful, informative, and entertaining across her videos, and even though she suffered a season-ending injury along the way, her positive spirit and overall goals within the ambassador program never wavered.
Said Anes, “I truly believe in helping others that are passionate about sports, physical fitness, and about their own health, so that’s why I shared [Milk2Go Sport] not only with other student-athletes, but also with students that want to take care of their body and take care of their physical and mental health”.
Alongside Anes was another trio of talented ambassadors who also shared a creative and engaging breadth of video content throughout the 10 weeks of the program. Wilfrid Laurier basketball player Aman Ghebre, Western football player Joey Mocnik, and Queen’s hockey player Scout Southward all employed their own unique approach to producing content that showcased Milk2Go Sport in their respective journeys of physical and mental health as student-athletes, and in total, the quartet amassed nearly 200,000 impressions.
“I mean it when I said that we rise together and that we’re stronger together,” finished Anes, “so getting to create organic content with people was a lot of fun. And to whoever is to come, enjoy this experience and soak it in, because it’s honestly great”.
