TMU midfielder Ivymae Perez continued her torrid start to the season this past weekend, adding three goals in her team's two games during that stretch.
On Thursday night at Ontario Tech, Perez's tally came in the form of some final minute heroics. Locked in a scoreless draw with the host Ridgebacks, the third-year arts and contemporary studies major forced a penalty in the late stages of the game. She stepped up to the spot and made no mistake, finding the back of the net in the 90th minute to lift the Bold to the 1-0 win.
The scoring magic continued on Sunday for the Toronto, Ont. native, as she would convert a pair of goals just three minutes apart. The first of Perez's brace against the Trent Excalibur came at the 69-minute mark to double her team's lead at the time, before netting her second of the match mere moments after to all but put the game out of reach in what ended as a 4-0 win.
Perez's three-goal stretch brings her early season total up to four in TMU's first three games.

What more can be said about Chris Campoli's start to the season for Ontario Tech? For the second straight week, the Ridgebacks forward earns the conference spotlight, doing so on the heels of two timely goals for the Oshawa squad.
Facing a stiff test on Thursday against the No. 9 TMU Bold, the two teams were all knotted up at one with the game nearing its end. In the 81st minute, however, Campoli came through in the clutch to put his side up for good, securing the 2-1 win.
The third-year commerce major and his Ridgebacks would follow up that performance with another nail-biter against the Toronto Varsity Blues. This time around, both teams were held off the scoresheet for the first 85 minutes, but that all changed thanks to Campoli once again. Campoli's goal, his ninth of the season, would prove to be yet another game winner, helping Ontario Tech maintain their unbeaten stretch to start the season (5-0-0).
Campoli's nine goals ranked him well atop the OUA in the category and second across all of U SPORTS.
