OUA announces partnership with Peel Regional Police for 2022-23 season
"Peel Police are thrilled to have partnered with the OUA as a pathway to attract and recruit best in class police candidates," said Deputy Chief Mark Dapat. "The pool of candidates from the OUA are stewards for leadership, teamwork, and resilience. All of these attributes translate to the highest standard of police service to our community."
Among those conference competitors who have gone on to a career with Peel Police are five who will be part of a feature series throughout the 2022-23 season. From a top performer on the pitch and gridiron great to an incredible talent on the ice and a pair of soccer standouts, these alumni will discuss their post-secondary tenure and their ensuing path to police service.
"Peel Police have been terrific supporters of the OUA over the years and we are looking forward to their continued involvement for the 2022-23 season ahead," said Gord Grace, OUA President & CEO. "We can't wait to spotlight some of our OUA alumni who turned their talents from the university sport scene into promising careers in policing and highlight the opportunities therein."
