Statement from Ontario University Athletics regarding COVID-19
Burlington, Ont. – In light of the ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19, all OUA engagement with committees, members, student-athletes, and coaches will be done electronically, eliminating all face-to-face meetings. Upcoming OUA events, such as the annual Women’s Basketball Showcase, have been cancelled. Further discussion regarding the future of this year’s OUA Congress will be decided upon in the near future.
Given that all OUA-sanctioned sporting events are completed, the OUA is recommending its members to take extra caution relating to on-campus student-athlete activity, in line with their respective university’s position.
Any further updates on these and other matters will be provided on oua.ca and individuals are encouraged to stay tuned to both our website and social media platforms for future updates.
