Paladins Cleveland earns OUA Peak Performer of the Week
Burlington, Ont. – Trystan Cleveland has been named Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Peak Performer of the Week for the period ending November 3, 2019.
Peak Performer – Trystan Cleveland, RMC Paladins, Rugby
The RMC Paladins men’s rugby team is riding a wave of momentum as they play their way through the consolation playoffs, with their latest win coming as perhaps the most impressive behind a leading effort from Trystan Cleveland.
Going up against the West Division’s second-seeded squad, RMC came out ready to go in their consolation semifinal. A key figure for RMC in their defeat of the five-win Waterloo squad was Cleveland, who stepped up for a second straight week with a pair of tries. Having lost to the Warriors during the regular season, RMC was determined to make the most of their second opportunity. With a lineup depleted due to injury, Cleveland has continued to step up on the biggest stage for the Paladins and has now helped his squad earn three straight wins.
Cleveland’s 10-point performance has his squad set to battle for 5th place against the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks to close out their respective seasons.
