Varsity Blues Mucsi earns OUA Peak Performer of the Week
Burlington, Ont. – Ben Mucsi has been named Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Peak Performer of the Week for the period ending February 2, 2020.

The Varsity Blues continued their dominance in men’s fencing this past weekend, and right at the heart of their fifth consecutive OUA banner win was epee standout Ben Mucsi.
The fourth-year engineering student began his banner season finale with an individual gold in the epee discipline, earning the Desjarlais Trophy after defeating Brock’s Logan Wilford in the championship bout. The Toronto, Ont. native continued his unbeaten showing the following day as part of Toronto’s epee team relay, combining to score his second gold medal of the festivities by defeating Queen’s.
All told, the decorated champion earned two first-place finishes, an all-star nod, and the fourth OUA banner of his university career.
