The Lakers stayed with the No. 3 Rams for the majority of the first half before Ryerson went on a 17-6 run in the final 3:40 of the second quarter. The Rams put the game out of reach by outscoring Nipissing 20-11 in the third quarter.
Adika Peter-McNeilly just missed a triple-double with 13 points, nine rebounds and eight assists for the Rams. Ammanuel Diressa posted a game-high 22 points, while Filip Vujadinovic recorded a career-high 20 points after going 8-for-13 from the floor, including 4-for-8 from behind the arc.
Marcus Lewis had a team-high 13 points, while adding nine boards for Nipissing. Jaaden Lewis had 11 points and Justin Shaver pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds.
The Rams will now face the No. 5 Ottawa Gee-Gees in the OUA Wilson Cup semi-final next Friday at Carleton University. Carleton will face Brock in the other semi-final.
