CIS Toronto Selects face off against Canada's national junior team at the Mattamy Athletic Centre
Twenty-one hockey players from Toronto’s three universities have been chosen for the CIS Toronto Selects team that will suit up in mid-December for a pair of exhibition games against Canada’s national junior team.
Twenty-one hockey players from Toronto's three universities have been chosen for the CIS Toronto Selects team that will suit up in mid-December for a pair of exhibition games against Canada's national junior team.
Puck drop for the first game is set for 7pm on Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. The two squads will return to action the following day for a contest beginning at 1pm at the same location.
Seven players each – one goaltender, two defencemen and four forwards – from Ryerson University, the University of Toronto and York University make up the squad that will face Canada's top junior hockey players as they wrap up their selection camp in preparation for the 2015 World Junior Hockey Championships hosted jointly by Toronto and Montreal.
Head coaches Darren Lowe from the Varsity Blues, Jim Wells from the Lions and Graham Wise from the Rams will coach the team.
