After no goals were scored in the opening half, UOIT exploded midway through the second for three goals in 12 minutes.
Taijah Henderson (Ajax, Ont.) opened the scoring in the 54th minute, with Tyra Gordon (Ajax, Ont.) padding the Ridgebacks lead just three minutes later.
Katherine Koehler-Grassau (Greely, Ont.) used some fancy footwork to beat a pair of Rams defenders to get into open space and beat Brittney Clendenan to put the Ridgebacks ahead 3-0.
Helen Frampton (Toronto, Ont.) earned her seventh clean sheet of the season, turning aside two Ryerson shots in the victory.
Clendenan made five saves for the Rams in the loss.
This Sunday the Ridgebacks are back in action against the Toronto Varsity Blues. Kick off is 1 p.m. at Vaso's Field.
