Chisari, Danesi, Lefebvre, Nolte named OUA athletes of the week
Burlington, Ont. – Jared Chisari, Luca Danesi, Tristan Lefebvre, and Annika Nolte have been named OUA athletes of the week for the period ending September 21st, 2025.
Jared Chisari, Football, Queen’s Gaels
Chisari had a huge game for the Queen's Gaels in their 58-18 road win over the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday afternoon. Chisari finished the game with eight carries for 223 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Chisari's long run of 105 yards set a Queen's football record.
Chisari, the graduate student from Naples, Maine is now eighth all-time in Queen's football program history in total touchdowns and eighth in rushing touchdowns. The running back is also fourth all-time in Queen's football program history in rushing yards and fifth in carries. Adding to the provincial records, Chisari currently sits second in the province with 123.4 yards per game.
Luca Danesi, Soccer, Brock Badgers
Danesi, a fourth-year teacher education student, had an impressive weekend for the Brock Badgers totaling two goals and an assist over two games. In the Badgers’ 1-0 win on Friday night over the Western Mustangs, Danesi played 89 minutes, tallying the only goal in the contest in the 64th minute.
His impact carried over into Sunday's game against the Windsor Lancers where he registered a goal and an assist in the 3-0 win while on the field for 90 minutes.
After beating two defenders, Danesi found Sebastian Agudo in the 45th minute for the first goal of the match. The Binbrook, Ont. product then sealed the game with a penalty kick in the 77th minute for Brock's third goal. Danesi now leads the OUA with nine points and sits tied for third with five goals.
Tristan Lefebvre, Football, Carleton Ravens
Lefebvre established a new Carleton Ravens single-game passing record while throwing for 510-yards on Saturday, in Carleton’s 48-36 win over the York Lions. The fourth-year quarterback from Calgary, Alta. was explosive under centre while dotting the ball around the park. The communications student was 26-for-31 with four touchdowns in the contest.
With three receivers hitting over 80 yards, Lefebvre's highlights came on a program record 106-yard touchdown pass to Tristan Ready, and a 62-yard touchdown pass to Dante Spadaccini that Lefebvre threaded over the middle while he took a hit.
Annika Nolte, Soccer, Nipissing Lakers
Nipissing Lakers’ veteran striker Nolte added to her impressive totals as she notched a hat-trick and added two assists on the weekend, leading the Lakers to four points on their home field.
In the first game of the weekend, Nolte scored three goals and added an assist in the Lakers’ 6-1 win over the RMC Paladins. On Sunday, she set up the game-tying goal, as Nipissing fought to earn a point in a showdown with the Queen's Gaels to hold on to their top spot in the OUA East standings.
With her totals this weekend Nolte, from Dorchester, Ont. now leads the league with seven goals and sits tied for first with 10 points through six games.
