VIRGINIA TECH LACROSSE PAYS A VISIT TO DC/UOIT
OSHAWA, Ont. – High school lacrosse players across the Durham Region are getting a chance to play with the “best of the best” as the Virginia Tech women’s lacrosse team is running a summer skills camp on campus at Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) on Vaso’s Field.
Whitby native and Virginia Tech assistant coach Lynz Keys is heading up the camp along with two members of the Virginia Tech Lacrosse team. The two-day camp runs July 29 & 30 and is for female field lacrosse players currently in high school. Attendees can expect college intensity practices as they work with the Virginia Tech staff and experience the speed and excitement of playing Division I lacrosse.
Keys had quite an impressive resume when it comes to lacrosse as she has nine years of camp experience with the Ohio University Lacrosse Camp, Patterson Lacrosse Camp, International Lacrosse Camp hosted at Rutgers University and Merestead Sports Camps in Richmond, Virginia.
During her playing career at Ohio University, Keys earned All-Region and All-American Lacrosse Conference honors during both her junior and senior seasons. She is also a five-year member of the Canadian National women's lacrosse team and played three years for the Canadian National U-19 Women's Lacrosse team.
