With the win, the pesky Warriors advance to their sixth straight OUA final four and will take on Guelph in Hamilton. It was an unbelievable performance by fourth year right side attacker, Braden Cok (Waterloo) who put away 25 kills and added a service ace in the win. Also getting in on the attack was rookie outside, Kevin LeBreux (Cumberland) who had nine kills while veteran Aidan Simone (London) was clutch with his eight kills.
Waterloo absolutely owned the net game, putting up 29 blocks compared to just 11 for the Lions. Rookie middle, Matthew Mawdsley (London) led the block part with nine while Jordan McConkey (Stratford) had eight. Simone rounded out the stellar net play with six blocks.
Setting up the Warriors offence was Nikola Dimitrijevic (Mississauga) who had 39 assists in the win while on the defensive side of the ball Waylon Chen (Markham) led the way with 14 digs.
For York it was Alex Duncan-Thibault leading the way with 20 kills while Logan Mend finished with 36 assists.
