GUELPH, ON - The Brock University men's volleyball team knocked off the No. 8 ranked Guelph Gryphons 3-1 (22-25, 26-24, 25-21, 25-19) Saturday afternoon on the road.

After dropping the first set 25-22, the Badgers rallied to win three straight for their second victory of the season.
Leading the Badgers attack were the duo of Timmy Spisar (Brampton, ON) and John Elgersma (Wellandport, ON) who combined for 28 kills. Spisar added a game-high 16 kills and eight digs while Elgersma contributed with 12 kills and five block solos. Matthew Ragogna (Tottenham, ON) chipped in with nine kills and five digs while setter Marcelo Correa (Indaiatuba, Brazil) added 38 assists and six digs in the victory.
Jared Harris led the Gryphons with 14 kills and six digs. Kendrick Kerr and Joshua Green chipped in with 10 and nine kills respectively.
For the match, Brock had a .145 hitting percentage registering 49 kills with 30 errors on 131 attempts. Guelph collected 43 kills with 26 errors on 104 attempts for a .163 hitting percentage.
The Badgers next action is January 14th when they take on the Waterloo Warriors on the road.
