Challenger Baseball is a program run through the Jays Care Foundation, as an all-inclusive Baseball program for youth with intellectual and/or physical disabilities. This is a nationwide program with currently 73 leagues across Canada with Thunder Bay joining the program this summer.

AJAX, Ont. - As the rain clouds cleared the Western Mustangs captured their second consecutive OUA championship banner and fifth since the OUA championships inception in 2001 defeating the Brock Badgers 6-3 Sunday afternoon (Oct. 16) at the Ajax Sportsplex.
The OUA baseball championship will feature a rematch from day one as the Western Mustangs earned their spot in the finals going undefeated through bracket play, while the Brock Badgers rebounded from a tough first day loss to the Mustangs to setup a battle of top three seeds.
On Day 1 (Oct. 14) of the Ontario University Athletics baseball championship the No. 1 Laurier Golden Hawks and No. 2 Western Mustangs remained undefeated setting themselves up for a strong Day 2 (Oct. 15) in the double elimination tournament hosted by the University of Toronto at the Ajax Sportsplex.
