"For 26 minutes we played our guts out," said Head Coach Gary Jeffries after the game. "It was an even football game until we turned it over. We kept fighting in the second half and competed hard and that's all I can ask of them."

Queen's killed any chance of a Laurier comeback late in the third quarter when Granberg rumbled into the endzone for his second major of the game, giving the Gaels a 39-9 lead after 45 minutes.
A pair of field goals from Queens Wamsley and a touchdown reception by the Hawks Alex Sanchez of Toronto, from backup quarterback Steve Fantham of London, Ont., rounded out the scoring in the game.
