2004 OUA WOMEN'S LACROSSE AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED
St. Catharines, ON - At the 2004 OUA Women's Lacrosse Championships banquet hosted by Brock University last weekend, the OUA All-Star Teams and major awards winners were announced.
Most Valuable Player
Erica Howard, Laurier
Howard led the Laurier Golden Hawks to a 9-0-1 regular season record ranking fifth in the OUA in scoring with 21 goals and nine assists for 30 points.
Outstanding Rookie
Katie Godfrey, Toronto
In her first season with the Varsity Blues, Godfrey ranked fourth in the OUA in scoring to lead all rookies with 29 goals and three assists for 32 points.
Outstanding Graduating Player
Vanessa Anderson, Toronto
Anderson, a fifth year member of the Toronto Varsity Blues, finished the 2004 regular season ranked 9th in the OUA with 22 points, including 20 goals and two assists.
Most Valuable Goaltender
Keri Reeder, Brock
Reeder, a four-time OUA All-Star, led the Badgers to their first undefeated season in school history at 9-0-1. In seven games, Reeder posted a 6-0-1 record. The Badgers also had the top Goals Against Average in the OUA with a 4.70 GAA.
