WEEKEND ROUNDUP
Despite a great individual performance by the Varsity Blue Katie Godfrey who had five goals, the University of Toronto could not get past the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks falling 9-7. Jana McCoubrey scored three times for the Hawks.
Toronto 9, McGill 7
Another brilliant individual performance this time by the Toronto Varsity Blue Vanessa Anderson, who had five markers in a 9-7 win over the McGill Martlets. McGill's Meg Greewich scored four goals in the loss.
Queen's 10, McGill 9
Despite being down 6-2 at halftime, the McGill Martlets almost clawed their way to a victory but were edged 10-9 by the Queen's Golden Gaels. The Gaels received offensive output from five different sources as Ruth McArthur led all scorers with three markers.
Brock 18, Guelph 2
Brock's Heidi Krasnozen had six goals and Tahl Bomberry had five markers of her own in the Badgers' 18-2 lop-sided win over the Guelph Gryphons on Sunday afternoon. Ali Maitland did all the scoring for Guelph notching a pair.
Westren 18, Guelph 7
The Western Mustangs took a 10-1 halftime lead and cruised easily to an 18-7 victory over the Guelph Gryphons. The Mustangs' Lisa Howe had six goals while Julia Pawkink and Caitlin Ormt each added three more in the lopsided win. Guelph's Yolanda Lloyd scored five times in the loss.
McMaster 7, Western 3
The McMaster Marauders took a tight 4-3 half-time lead and scord three unanswered times in the second half to edge the Western Mustangs, 7-3. Amber Darrach had three goals in the McMaster win, while Tali Landgraff also added a pair.
Brock 9, Western 4
Western's offensive troubles continued as they fell 9-4 to the Brock Badgers. Sara Gardner led the charge for the Badgers as she netted three goals.Heather Stephens and Heidi Krasnozen each added a pair in the Brock victory.
