James Wilroy, Managing Director of Data Project USA, believes that this partnership will be very beneficial and will only continue to help grow sport involvement and further facilitate the collection of information between the conference and its member institutions.
"We are excited to add the Ontario University Athletics and its members in the official use of e-Scoresheet, after several years of testing, individual member implementation and use for the past three USports Championships. We look forward to continuing to deepen our relationships within the Province of Ontario and hope that OUA's desire to be at the vanguard of sport technology will serve as an example for other leagues across Canada" stated Wilroy.
Data Project began in 1982 as a software house dedicated to the creation of tools and services for sport and is widely considered as the world leader in volleyball analysis and game management software. The company has spread worldwide but their origin can be traced back to Salerno and Bologna in Italy. Data Project's objectives are to extend its programs on all levels in order to allow a wide array of information to be shared amongst coaches.
With this partnership, OUA hopes to continue to grow the sport of volleyball and enhance the experience for student-athletes, coaches and fans. Taking sport data collection and distribution to the next level reinforces OUA's willingness to constantly push boundaries and improve student-athlete experience.
