AROUND OUA: Gaels come from behind to tie Paladins 2-2
KINGSTON, Ont. (September 28, 2016) - The Gaels (4-3-2) tied the RMC Paladins (0-8-1) 2-2 Wednesday evening at Miklas-McCarney field in OUA men's soccer action.

Gaels come from behind to tie Paladins 2-2
KINGSTON, Ont. (September 28, 2016) - The Gaels (4-3-2) tied the RMC Paladins (0-8-1) 2-2 Wednesday evening at Miklas-McCarney field in OUA men's soccer action.
GAME FLOW
During a very tight first half, the RMC Paladins were first to get on the board. In the 18th minute, Daniel Cruz scored on a cross from teammate Stephen Warren. In the 29th minute, Francis Gelinas extended the Paladins lead to 2-0, on an unassisted goal giving the visitors a big 2-0 lead.
The first half ended abruptly after a RMC Paladin's player received a red card in the 45th minute. This put the Paladin's down a player for the entire second half.
The Gaels were able to capitalize on the advantage. Andrew Martin (Kingston, Ont.) scored in the 53rd minute on an unassisted goal, to cut the Paladin's lead to 2-1. The Gaels then tied the game in the 83rd minute, on a penalty kick by Jacob Schroeter (Ottawa) who made no mistake with the kick.
The rest of the game was a complete nail-biter. The Gaels had a number of excellent chances, including a shot by Rohan Sarna (Mississauga, Ont.) that rang off the post in the final moments of the game. However, the score remained 2-2 at the sounding of the final whistle.
