2024 top ambassador Weltz headlines successful program with Milk2Go Sport
Burlington, Ont. – Following another successful season of the Milk2Go Sport ambassador program, the OUA and Milk2Go Sport are pleased to announce Emma Weltz as the top ambassador for 2024.
“A huge thank you to Milk2Go Sport for selecting me,” said Weltz. “I am super honoured and super grateful.”
In addition to the sixth-year basketball player from Queen’s, the 2024 ambassador program also featured Toronto Varsity Blues swimmer Amelia Narduzzo, Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks soccer player Tristan Greenidge, and Western Mustangs football player Alex Haylock.
This year’s crop of ambassadors featured content from near and far, spotlighting offseason activities, sport-specific training and exercises, and even an experience at the Olympic Trials. Through it all, however, the important role that Milk2Go Sport plays in both their physical and mental health remained consistent.
Explained Weltz, “I love to be active for both my physical and mental health, and Milk2Go Sport has definitely fueled this lifestyle”.
“I wanted to really promote the [Milk2Go Sport] brand because I know how amazing it is for athletes,” added Narduzzo. “I also wanted to use this amazing product to help promote how women in sport can be strong and fuel themselves to optimal performance.”
Anchoring this meaningful messaging was a 10-week stretch of original video content created by the ambassadors, an element of the program that remains one of the most engaging and memorable parts for the participants.
“My favourite thing about being a Milk2Go Sport brand ambassador this year was the ability to create awesome videos,” explained Greenidge, “and also be able to incorporate my teammates and friends into those videos.”
Together, ambassador videos amassed over 150,000 views, led by the Queen’s basketball veteran. And similar to her fellow ambassadors, the ability to involve others in her content – in addition to her affinity to the product – was among her key takeaways from the experience.
Ended Weltz, “I really enjoyed getting to share the Milk2Go Sport product with the whole Queen’s community and a lot of my teammates. It’s a drink that I love, so I was happy to share it with others.”
