CRAPE SHORTLISTED FOR CANADIAN U-19 WOMEN'S LACROSSE TEAM
The final 18-player national team will be selected in the fall for the U-19 International Lacrosse Federation women's world championships which will take place Aug. 3-13, 2011, in Hannover, Germany.
The Canadian team will look to improve on its fourth-place finish at the 2007 ILF U-19 championships in 2007. The best-ever finish is a bronze medal, earned twice in 2003 and 1999.
Crape finished 14th in the OUA, fourth on the Western team, in scoring in her first season with the Mustangs, netting 23 goals and adding seven assists for 30 points.
The Calgary native was a major factor in Western's run to win the banner, scoring a pair of goals in the Mustangs 9-5 win over Laurier in the OUA Championship in late October.
