Eric Ginzburg, York Lions, Swimming
Ginzburg once again medaled in all four events in which he swam in for a third consecutive OUA championships, striking gold in 100m fly, 50m fly and 100m freestyle. Although he came up just short in the 50m freestyle race, coming in second by just over a tenth of a second, he did better his OUA record in the 100m fly by just less than two tenths, setting the new standard at 52.22 after winning the event in 2025 with a 52.41.
Another quadruple medal performance earned Ginzburg the OUA Men's Swimmer of the Year Award for the second time in three years; he also captured it at Brock in 2024 after winning all four races in which he competed.
Now having medaled at three OUA championships, Ginzburg was also named one of 13 OUA Award of Distinction winners.
Nina Mollin, Toronto Varsity Blues, Swimming
Earning three individual gold medals (200m butterfly, 200m IM, 100m butterfly), one relay gold in OUA record time (4x100m medley), two OUA grand slams (200m butterfly, 200m IM), and the IM Excellence Award for a fourth straight season, Toronto's Mollin was named the OUA Women’s Swimmer of the Year.
She received the major award for a second consecutive OUA championship, and her outstanding performance helped the U of T women claim the provincial banner for a 12th straight season. In total, Mollin has now accumulated 16 OUA gold medals across her four OUA championship appearances.
Rebecca Parker, Guelph Gryphons, Track & Field
Parker competed in the women's pentathlon and long jump where she finished in first place in both events, earning double gold at the 2026 OUA Track and Field Championships. The fifth-year criminal justice and public policy major in the women's pentathlon broke her own OUA record she set at last year's provincial championships, setting a new benchmark score of 4234 points.
Parker also broke the women's pentathlon record in the 60m hurdles (8.39s) and long jump (6.03m) in her gold medal winning performance. That wasn't the only gold medal the Windsor native would claim as she finished in first place in the women's long jump with a jump of 6.10m in her 5th jump of the competition.
Parker's double gold medal winning performance earned her the Dr. Wendy Jerome Trophy as the most valuable performer of the meet.
AJ Stanat, Windsor Lancers, Track & Field
The new OUA record holder in shot put from the Windsor Lancers, Stanat won the Hec Phillips Trophy for men’s athlete of the meet at the OUA Track & Field Championships this weekend at York University, winning gold in shot put and bronze in weight throw.
Stanat’s shot put toss of 19.06m smashed the previous provincial record of 18.59m and his own personal best of 18.44m, which was set this season. The fifth-year thrower’s weight throw bronze medal came from a 17.13m throw. His performance helped the Lancer men earn a fourth-place finish.
The St. Thomas, Ont. product is bound for U SPORTS in a season in which he has the ability to be on the podium of both throwing events at every meet.
