The Warriors completed the hat trick of gold medals on Sunday afternoon at the Grey Silo Club, winning their third straight team gold. Waterloo finished with a team total of 584, 10 strokes better than second place Laurier. The Western Mustangs rounded out the top three with a score of 613 for the bronze medal.
Warriors continue hot streak with third straight team gold
The Warriors completed the hat trick of gold medals on Sunday afternoon at the Grey Silo Club, winning their third straight team gold. Waterloo finished with a team total of 584, 10 strokes better than second place Laurier. The Western Mustangs rounded out the top three with a score of 613 for the bronze medal.
The Warriors have now medaled in all six events played in this season which includes one bronze, two silver's and three gold's.
Ninety golfers took part in the 36-hole event played at Rebel Creek (Saturday) and Grey Silo (Sunday). The Warriors were led by second year golfer, Devin Bartlett (Cambridge) who shot a two day total of 141, 2-under par to claim the individual gold medal. Teammate David French (Camlachie) also had a strong tournament, with a score of 144 (1-over par) to grab the individual bronze medal. Also swinging a hot stick for the Warriors was Jake Adam (145) and Gajan Sivabalasingham (Stouffville) (146).
The Warriors are back on the course today under gloomy skies once again as they compete in the Guelph Invitational played at the Cutten Fields Golf Club.

Varsity Blues 4th at WLU/Waterloo Invitational
The University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's golf team placed fourth overall at the Laurier/Waterloo Invitational, October 3-4, in Cambridge, Ont.
The Blues finished with a combined team score of 608. Waterloo won the two-day tournament with a score of 584, followed by Laurier (594) and Guelph (597).
Veteran Tyler Miehe was Toronto's top golf, placing 11th with a two-day score of 150 (78, 72). Ryan Tsang was right behind him with a 151 (79,72).
Gordie Gibson shot a 153 (82, 71), with Marcus Lam adding a 154 (81, 73) and Conor O'Hara shooting 162 (83, 79).
The Blues are back in action next Tuesday, October 13 as they head to Dundas, Ont., for the McMaster Invitational.
