Golden Hawks’ Quattrin named IG Wealth Management Peak Performer

Burlington, Ont. – Andrew Quattrin has been named IG Wealth Management Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Peak Performer for the period ending November 11, 2018.

Peak Performer – Andrew Quattrin (Holland Landing, Ont.) – 5th Year – Laurier Golden Hawks

Playing in his final game as a Hawk, Laurier’s Andrew Quattrin stepped up in a big way for the purple and gold, just like he has throughout his five-year career.

Quattrin was an absolutely force against the Warriors, as the Battle of Waterloo took to the pitch for a bronze medal men’s rugby matchup. The fifth-year hooker led his team back from a 6-0 halftime deficit to win Laurier their first OUA medal in school history.

Defensively, Quattrin anchored Laurier's line that time after time turned back the Warriors, never allowing them within 30 yards of Laurier's try line. Offensively, meanwhile, he scored the game-winning try with 10 minutes to play and added a second late to secure the victory, rounding out what was truly a game-changing effort.
