Underwood and Seccafien named Pioneer Energy OUA athletes of the week

MALE: Liam Underwood, Queen's Gaels, Rugby
Liam Underwood (Toronto) scored 14 of the Gaels’ 29 points, and was named Man of the Match as the Gaels won the Turner Trophy for the 18th time in their history. The third-year fly half controlled play throughout the game for the Gaels, and made three of four convert attempts along with a penalty goal, and a 65th-minute try that sealed the victory for Queen’s.
FEMALE: Andrea Seccafien, Guelph Gryphons, Cross country
Andrea Seccafien (Guelph, Ont.) captured the CIS gold medal this past weekend at the CIS Cross Country Championships hosted in London. The fourth-year runner led her Gryphon team to one of the most dominant performances in team history. She won the race by seven seconds over teammate Carise Thompson and in the process helped the Gryphon women win their eighth consecutive national title. For her performance she was named the CIS Cross Country Athlete of the Year and a first team all-Canadian.
