RAVENS FINISH THIRD IN MEN'S FOIL AT BROCK INVITATIONAL
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Carleton University Ravens fencer Scott McNeil (Calgary) earned bronze in men's foil at the Brock Invitational held on Nov. 21 and 22 in St. Catharines, Ont. The third place finish marks the second medal for the journalism major this year.
Three other Carleton fencers finished in the top five in their divisions. Jonathon Girard (Dunnville, Ont.) placed fifth in men's sabre. Rachel Gardner (Ottawa) finished fifth in women's epee, while Jennifer Dunev (Ottawa) placed fifth in women's foil.
The next event for the Ravens comes on Jan. 9 and 10 when they host the Carleton Invitational.
