Blues close out season with a victory over Warriors

The win marks Toronto's sixth straight over Waterloo. The Blues end their 2016 regular season campaign with a 2-6 record.
TORONTO STATS:
Fifth-year quarterback Marcus Hobbs went 15-for-26 for 348 yards and one touchdown, while rushing five times for 25 yards and one TD. His favourite target on the day was Rahul Madan, who hauled in nine receptions for 186 yards and one major.
Anthony Naccarato earned player of the game honours with 201 all-purpose yards. He had three receptions for 111 yards, returned five punt for 86 yards and rushed twice for four yards in the win.
Kaleb Leach led the Blues on the ground, rushing for 85 yards, while Verrick Ponder touched the ball 11 times for 59 yards and one touchdown in the win.
Fourth-year linebacker Michael Leslie led the Blues with five tackles, while sophomore defensive back Damoy Robinson had 4.5 tackles on the day.
GAME FLOW:
Naccarato opened the scoring six minutes into the game, returning Caleb Girard's punt 61 yards for the major. Toronto held an 8-0 lead after the first quarter.
Adrian Bernard recovered a Waterloo fumble deep in Warriors territory early in the second and Hobbs converted the four-play, five-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown run. Ryan Grandell added a 21-yard field goal and the Blues took an 18-0 lead into halftime.
The Warriors got on the board with a rouge off the second half kickoff, however the Blues would respond, when Hobbs scrambled and connected with Madan for a 75-yard score to put Toronto up 25-1.
The Blues extended their lead late in the third. TJ Morton faked a punt and ran for the first down that would eventually lead to a one-yard rushing major from Ponder.
Grandell kicked 15- and 34- yard field goals in the fourth and Waterloo's Lucas McConnell connected on a seven-yard pass with Tyler Ternowski on the last play of the game for the major.
WATERLOO STATS:
McConnell was 16-of-23 for 328 yards and one touchdown. Jordan Hoover had two receptions for 108 yards, while Cordell Bujold-Abu made three catches for 67 yards.
Third-year defensive back Lucas Merlin led all players with 7.5 tackles in the loss.
