Banner Season: Queen’s women go back-to-back as Brock men complete the four-peat at the OUA championship
St. Catharines, Ont. - It was a busy day at the Royal Canadian Henley Rowing Course in St. Catharines as rowers from across the province competed at the 2024 OUA Rowing Championships.
The Queen's Gaels women's rowing team captured their second straight OUA Championship with points points. The Gaels finished the championship regatta with six gold medals, in the women's single, women's lightweight single, women's lightweight pair, women’s four, women’s lightweight eight, and women's eight.
The Brock Badgers men’s rowing team took home their fourth straight OUA title, making an appearance on the podium in all ten events including five first place finishes. They ended the day with 171 points. They won the men’s lightweight single, men’s double, men’s lightweight double, men’s single and the men’s lightweight four.
