Marlow Benson of the women's squash team made the most of her debut banner season appearance, playing out of the No. 1 position and leading the five-time reigning champion Queen’s Gaels to their sixth straight OUA banner.
Burlington, Ont. – Marlow Benson has been named Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Peak Performer of the Week for the period ending February 9, 2020.

Marlow Benson of the women's squash team made the most of her debut banner season appearance, playing out of the No. 1 position and leading the five-time reigning champion Queen’s Gaels to their sixth straight OUA banner.
The Bolton, Ont. native paced Queen’s with a 12-0 record herself while finishing 4-0 from the team’s top spot. The Gaels compiled an overall a 24-4 record in matches en route to overcoming second-place Waterloo. Benson defeated Harriet Ho by a score of 3-0 (11-4, 11-5, 11-7) in a thrilling championship match.
Her efforts on the court were well recognized when all was said and done at the championship, as Benson took home some personal accolades that include Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, and an OUA all-star nod.
