Rams win SVG College Sports award
ATLANTA, Georgia - The women's volleyball 24/7 documentary series, produced by fourth year Film Studies student Elwin van Alst has won the Sports Video Group (SVG) Outstanding Program Series, Collegiate Student category.
ATLANTA, Georgia - The women's volleyball 24/7 documentary series, produced by fourth year Film Studies student Elwin van Alst has won the Sports Video Group (SVG) Outstanding Program Series, Collegiate Student category.
Ryerson University is the first institution outside of the United States to ever win a SVG College Sports Media Award.
The award was presented at the Ninth-Annual College Sports Media Awards ceremony on Thursday at the SVG College Sports Summit in Atlanta, Georgia. Series narrator and writer Stan Temming accepted the award as van Alst was unable to attend the ceremony.
Ryerson beat out four other finalists from Virginia Tech, Ball State University, Belmont University and the University of Maryland.
