In a rematch of the 2007 OUA final which saw the Queen's the Golden Gaels take home the banner, this time saw the McMaster Marauders take the win in five sets.
Similar to the best of three league final that went the distance, Saturday night's first meeting of the season between the two teams went the full five sets. The Marauders won the match by scores of 23-25, 25-23, 25-17, 23-25 and 15-13.

York 3, Laurier 0
After a huge comeback on Saturday, beating Toronto 3-2, the Laurier men's volleyball team was ready to do the same to the York lions on Sunday November 25th.
The team was eager for a win after an amazing game on Saturday, starting off the first set against York strong. Jean- Paul Wikerd and Peter Wigger lead the team in kills playing hard at the net. Each team fought hard for each point until the second technical time out when the Lions fought harder taking the first set 25-22.
After losing the first set, the Hawks came out slow in the second set allowing the lions take a five point lead. Much like the Toronto game and coming back from an 8 point difference, the hawks took control, came back and took the lead to the first technical time out at 8-7. The Hawks had a strong back court playing smart defensively with Derek Lapp and Chad Hall making great digs. However the Lions demonstrated great offense taking the second set 25-19.
The third set was the final set for the Hawks to come back and end the weekend 2-0. The hawks again took the lead to the first technical time out but fell behind and couldn't keep the lead. They pushed for each point as they remained close behind the Lions but were not able to catch up losing the final set 26-24.
