TORONTO - The Ryerson Rams men's soccer team picked up its 11th victory of the season and also clinched first place in the OUA East with a 3-0 defeat of the visiting Trent Excalibur on Wednesday night.

TORONTO - The Ryerson Rams men's soccer team picked up its 11th victory of the season and also clinched first place in the OUA East with a 3-0 defeat of the visiting Trent Excalibur on Wednesday night.
Adam Hemati (Vaughan, Ont.) opened the scoring on his fourth goal of the season after redirecting a Nick Lambis (Pickering, Ont.) shot in the 25th minute. Raheem Rose (Etobicoke, Ont.) made it 2-0 just before halftime with his team-leading ninth goal of the seasonin the 44th minute.
Jackson Tooke (Toronto) rounded out the scoring with his second goal of the season in the 55th minute.
Rams keeper Praveen Ahilan (Unionville, Ont.) made one save for the cleansheet victory.
The Rams improve to 11-1-3 and will wrap up the regular season against the Toronto Varsity Blues on Saturday, October 24 at 3:15pm at Downsview Park.

Strong first half lifts Blues over Ridgebacks
Two first-half goals led the University of Toronto Varsity Blues men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over the UOIT Ridgebacks on Wednesday, October 21 at Varsity Centre.
With the win, the Blues improve to 10-3-2 and remain in second place in the OUA East division.
The Blues opened the scoring in the 4th minute when Devon Bowyer connected a nice cross with rookie Jack Wadden, who slotted it into the bottom right corner of the net.
Toronto took a two-goal lead in the 22nd minute when Russell Rodrigues received a nice pass from Nirun Sivananthan and made a wide-angled shot into the bottom left corner of the net.
U of T was up 2-0 at the half.
The Ridgebacks brought the game within one with a goal off a Fabio Campoll free kick in the 66th minute, but the Blues stood tall to come away with the victory.
Goalkeeper Rab Bruce-Lockhart posted three saves in the win.
The Varsity Blues wrap up the regular season on the road as they travel to take on the Ryerson Rams this Saturday, October 4.
