Laurentian's Jago named OUA Peak Performer

BURLINGTON, Ont. - The following athlete has been named Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Peak Performer for the period ending October 26, 2015.
Emily Jago (Sudbury, Ont.) – 5th yr. – Laurentian Voyaguers – Rowing
Jago successfully defended her title in the Women's 1x race this past weekend at the OUA Rowing Championship, held at St. Catharines' Henley Island.
In Saturday's finale, Jago finished in a time of 7:55.94, five seconds faster than the second place competitor from Western.
On top of the singles title, Jago was also named the OUA Female Rower of the Year and is undefeated on the water so far this season, taking home the title at Head of the Trent, Brock Invitational and now the OUA Championship.
Last season, in addition to gold at the OUA Championship, Jago was a CURC silver medalist and was recognized as the Laurentian Female Athlete of the Year.
