Acadia dominated UQTR with a 5-0 victory in exhibition men's hockey action on Saturday.
Acadia took control early with first-period goals from Kian Bell, Cam MacDonald, and Bailey Peach. Brady Burns added two more in the second period, including a power-play marker, to complete the scoring. Neither team found the back of the net in the third.
Penalties were plentiful, with UQTR accumulating 46 minutes on 15 infractions and Acadia racking up 26 minutes on 13 infractions. Acadia capitalized on the power play, converting at a 42.9 per cent rate, while UQTR went 0-for-5.
Burns led Acadia's offence with two goals and two assists. Goaltender Thomas Couture earned the shutout with 32 saves.
