DEWAR-MORRIS LEADS CARLETON WITH FOUR GOALS IN 4-0 WIN

Carleton striker Joshua Dewar-Morris bagged all four goals as the Ravens handed the Trent Excalibur a 4-0 defeat Saturday at Keith Harris Stadium.Dewar-Morris scored in three times in the first half, in the 15th, 25th and 40th minute. He added another in the 60th minute to get his season off to an incredible start.
RMC 1 Windsor 1
The RMC Paladins and Windsor lancers played to a 1-1 draw in men’s soccer action at the University of Windsor Stadium Saturday afternoon. RMC’s Chris Schenk, a forward from Port Hope, ON, opened the scoring in the 69th minute, giving the visitors a 1-0 lead. But Windsor responded quickly as second-year midfielder/defender Mark Favaro notched a goal seven minutes later to get Windsor a draw.
Queen’s 1 Western 1
The Queen’s Golden Gaels received a late strike from Christopher Gencarelli to earn a 1-1 draw with the Western Mustangs Saturday. Gencarelli scored just three minutes from injury time to get Queen’s a point in the standings. Western midfielder Jason DeThomasis had given the Mustangs a 1-0 lead when he scored in the third minute of the game. Tyler Wallace was credited with the clean sheet in the Carleton net.
Toronto 2 Laurentian 0
The Toronto Varsity Blues picked up a 2-0 road win against the Laurentian Voyageurs Saturday at LU Field. Veteran striker Sean Myers found the scoresheet first with the winning goal in the 28th minute. Kingston native Evan Milward added another in the 72nd minute to ensure Toronto’s first win of the season.
York 1 Nipissing 0
The York Lions began their season with a 1-0 win over the Nipissing Lakers Saturday at Education Centre Field. Joe Vaz. A first-year forward from Scarborough, ON, had the game’s only goal. York goalkeeper Grege Zatulovsky had the shutout.
McMaster 0 Brock 0
The McMaster Marauders and Brock Badgers played to a goalless draw Saturday in St. Catharines. Brock’s goalkeeper Chris Cutaia and McMaster’s Rick Maggialo had the shutouts in net.
Guelph 3 Ryerson 0
The Guelph Gryphons traveled to Ryerson and picked up a 3-0 win over the rmas at De La Salle College Saturday. Flavio Caracas, Chike Agbasi and Kojo Mensah each had goals for the Gryphons.

Laurier 4 Waterloo 3
Damir Hadziavdic scored twice as the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks earned a tight 4-3 win over the Waterloo Warriors Sunday. Waterloo jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half but Laurier stormed back with four unanswered goals. Hadziavdic had a pair, while Miguel Knox and Gavin Brancato also scored for the Golden hawks.
Payman Charkhzarian had two in the loss for Waterloo. Jimmy Murphy also scored for the Warriors.
Western 1 RMC 0
The Western Mustangs defeated the RMC Paladins 1-0 Sunday at Brescia Fields.
Dante Biscaro scored the lone goal of the game in the 57th minute to clinch the first win of the new season for the Mustangs, after drawing 1-1 with Queen’s the day prior. Goalkeeper Haidar Al-Shaibani was credited with the clean sheet for Western.
Queen’s 6 Windsor 3
Midfielder Steven Irish scored twice as the Queen’s Golden Gaels defeated the Windsor Lancers 6-3 Sunday. Chris Gencarelli and David Kerr-Vayne gave Queen’s a 2-0 lead before Windsor stormed back on goals by Mark Favaro, Jason Antovski. Irish re-established the Queen’s lead early in the second half and added his second in the 90th minute. Tyeler Swan and Brent Lekowski also scored for the Golden Gaels, while Ciprian Codea had the third Windsor goal.
York 4 Laurentian 0
Mike Pimentel scored the winning goal in the seventh minute as the York Lions went on to defeat the Laurentian Voyageurs 4-0 at the LU Soccer fields. David Nogaro made it 2-0 for York moments after Pimentel’s goal. Eugene Ischak and Joe Vaz also scored for the Lions, who did not allow a goal in both of their weekend wins.
Toronto 5 Nipissing 0
Evan Milward scored a hat-trick in the Toronto Varsity Blues 5-0 shutout of the Nipissing Lakers Sunday at Education Centre Field. Milward, who found the net in Toronto’s opening day victory Saturday, scored in the 24th, 45th and 75th minute to bring his season tally to four. Mike Sami and George Davis had the other two goals for Toronto.
McMaster 2 Ryerson 1
The McMaster Marauders picked up their first win of the season with a 2-1 home win over the Ryerson Rams at Back 10 Field Sunday. John Krilis opened the scoring in the 24th minute for McMaster and Andrew Habermehl stretched the lead to two goals when he scored in the 67th minute. Ryerson mustered one goal, a strike in the 81st minute by Kevin cassimere, but couldn’t find an equalizer.
Brock 4 Guelph 0
The Brock Badgers traveled to Guelph and cam e away with an impressive 4-0 road victory over the Gryphons Sunday. Brock struck early as Joe Del Priorie scored in the fourth minute and Dan Mazzucca tallied again seven minutes later.
Will Gott and Dan Hannigan added goals in the second half to complete the Badgers scoring.
