20 OUA PLAYERS NAMED CIS ALL-CANADIANS
York's Andre Durie, a sophomore from Mississauga, Ont. who placed second in the country behind Lumsden for rushing yards (1367) and touchdowns (15), joins the McMaster standout in the first team backfield, while Huerta-Flores, a native of Metepec, Mexico finds a spot on the second team. MVP of the Quebec conference with 999 rushing yards in the regular season, Huerta-Flores received player-of-the-game honours for Laval in a 30-11 Uteck Bowl win over Laurier.
Western Ontario's Rob Pikula, a junior from Brantford, Ont. has the distinction of being named to both the first and second CIS teams. Pikula was voted the best kicker in the country, and second-best punter behind Mike Renaud of Concordia.
On defence, Presidents Trophy nominee for top defensive player in Canada, third-year linebacker Jason Pottinger, a 6-foot-3, 240-pound native of Whitby, Ont. led the Marauders with 31.5 tackles, and helped McMaster lead the OUA for least points allowed with 119.
