On Saturday night, the Voyageurs men's hockey team was shutout 4-0 by the powerful Queen's Gaels.
The Gaels opened the scoring early on the powerplay as Ryan Bloom found the back of the net behind Mackenzie Savard at 1:38 of the first. The Gaels connected again on the powerplay 10:46, this time courtesy of Warren Steele who doubled the Gaels lead 2-0. The Voyageurs were outshot 11-9 in the first frame.
Luke Edwards further increased the Gaels lead to 3-0 at 9:09 of the second period. Edwards' goal was the only goal of the period as Queen's again outshot Laurentian 11-7.
