No. 1 Varsity Blues sweep Warriors, to host OUA Final Four next weekend
The No. 1 University of Toronto Varsity Blues women's volleyball team overpowered the visiting Waterloo Warriors in OUA quarter-final action, picking up a straight sets victory on Saturday afternoon (Mar. 4) at Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport. Set scores were 25-14, 25-9, 25-10.

With the win, the Varsity Blues will now host the OUA Final Four next weekend. Toronto will take on the Western Mustangs in semi-final action on Friday, March 10 at 6 p.m., at Goldring Centre. All OUA Final Four matches will be streamed live on OUA.tv. The Ryerson Rams and McMaster Marauders will square off in the second semifinal at 8 p.m.
U of T dominated from start to finish stifling the Warriors attack defensively, while delivering a clean offensive effort, which saw the Blues total a mere five attacking errors as opposed to Waterloo's 18.
Second-year sensation Alina Dormann once again proved to be too much for the visitors, scoring a game-high 15 points with nine kills, five service aces, and one solo block.
Fellow outside hitter Anna Feore provided secondary scoring, notching 13 points on the afternoon including an impressive service run in the second set. Feore finished the afternoon with eight kills, four service aces, one solo block and 10 digs.
Fifth-year setter Madelyn Mandryk guided Toronto with 24 assists, while also delivering a game-high 11 digs.
Despite the struggles, the Warriors were paced by Samantha Warner. who picked up a team-high seven points from four kills, two service aces, and one solo block.
