Box Score The Waterloo women's basketball team couldn't shake off a slow start and the Brock Badgers cruised to the finish line to sink the Warriors 76-53 as part of Fantastic Alumni Day on Saturday at the PAC. 

Brock outscored the Warriors 24-7 in the opening quarter and Waterloo could simply not recover.  The Badgers were sinking shots from everywhere in that opening quarter and would finish with a 45.3 percentage from the field while Waterloo shot 31.4 percent.  Brock also knocked down 11 from outside while Waterloo would only drain two 3-pointers.

With the win Brock improves to 6-3 while the Warriors remain winless at 0-9.

Waterloo got a spirited effort by Kristen Osborne (Markham) with 16 points including six from the free throw line.  Nicole Schlick (Prince George) was also in double figures with 12 points, going 4-for-7 from the field and 4-for-6 at the line.  On the boards Osborne led the way with six while Emily Wilk (Oakville) had five.

The Warriors had no answer for Melissa Tatti who finished the contest with 21 points.  Kira Cornelissen was also a factor with 12 points in the win.

The Warriors will be back in action next Friday in Sudbury against the Laurentian Voyaguers.
