Brock wrestlers capture nine Wrestling Canada National titles
ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock wrestling program capped off the 2016-17 with a performance to remember at the 2017 Wrestling Canada Senior National Championships in front of a capacity crowd at the Ian Beddis Gymnasium Saturday night.

The Badgers took home six senior national titles and three junior national titles, highlighted by Chris McIsaac who captured both junior and senior titles.
Ty Bridgwater took home gold at the 74kg Junior Nationals while Jevon Balfour ended the Senior Nationals with a technical superiority victory in the finals at 74kg. For his performance, Balfour was named the Outstanding Male Senior Wrestler.
On the women's side, Brock rookie Hannah Taylor was named the Outstanding Junior Female Wrestler after winning the junior national title Friday night.
On Saturday night, Jessica MacDonald (53kg), Michelle Fazzari (58kg), Diana Weicker (55kg), Olivia Di Bacco (69kg) and former Brock wrestler and alumni Jasmine Mian (48kg) all captured the senior national title in their respective weight class. MacDonald was named the Outstanding Female Senior Wrestler.
Other medalists at the Senior Nationals were Jessica Brouillette who took home silver at 63kg along with Jade Parsons (53kg), Hannah Taylor (55kg) and Emily Schaefer (58kg) who all took home bronze. At the juniors, Shauna Kuebeck captured a silver medal at 72kg while Larissa Bufalino collected bonze at 63kg.
