Warriors take care of Guelph in season finale; face Toronto in OUA quarters

The win means Waterloo finishes fifth in the OUA with a 10-10 record and will battle the fourth seeded Toronto Varsity Blues in the OUA quarter-finals next Saturday on the road.
Jordan McConkey (Stratford) was a beast at the net with nine blocks while Braden Cok (Waterloo) was just as impressive with eight. Cok and McConkey were also effective on the attack putting away 15 and nine kills respectively.
Other Warriors playing a factor in win was Aidan Simone (London) and Greg Simone (London) who combined for 15 kills and middle Trevor Coathup (Ottawa) who had four kills and six blocks. Gibson Graham (Markham) was on cue with 36 assists.
The home side got a nice effort from Josh Green who posted 15 kills while setter Samuel Kloke wrapped up his season with 39 assists.
The Warriors will now take the week to prepare for the Blues who won five straight to finish the year including a 3-2 upset victory over the No. 1 McMaster Marauders. Game time is set for 3:30pm at the Goldring Centre.
