Queen's moves to 1-1 at Waterloo exhibition tournament

Day 1 - Queen's 3, Dalhousie 2
Queen's opened up the tournament with a 3-2 win over Dalhousie on Tuesday evening in Waterloo. The Gaels were led by a strong performance from Mike Tomlinson who threw down 25 kills for the Gaels while adding six digs, six blocks and three service aces. Aiding in the strong attacking performance from Tomlinson was setter Thomas Ellison who landed at 50 assists for the five set match while also digging up 10 balls himself.
The Gaels got off the a quick start taking the opening two sets, first 25-22 followed by a 25-20 performance at the game looked to be all but over. Dalhousie battled back and finished the third set with a 25-23 win before following up in the fourth with a 25-19 decision to force a fifth and final set. In the end the Gaels were able to find their form and close out the match with a 15-11 win. On Wednesday Queen's will take on Winnipeg at 5pm.
