Former Carleton Ravens guard Philip Scrubb recently participated in the Sacramento Kings' 2017 NBA Summer League training camp.
Former Carleton Ravens guard Philip Scrubb recently participated in the Sacramento Kings 2017 NBA Summer League training camp.
Scrubb, who won five consecutive national titles with the Ravens from 2011-2015, has previous experience competing at the NBA level after playing for the Toronto Raptors and Memphis Grizzlies during the 2015 Summer League.
The three-time CIS (now U SPORTS) Most Outstanding player (2012-2014) has played in Europe the past two seasons, with a brief stint at AEK Athens (Greece) before moving on to the Frankfurt Skyliners (Germany) where Scrubb and another former Raven, Aaron Doornekamp, captured the 2016 FIBA Europe Cup.
Last summer, Philip and his brother Thomas Scrubb both competed for the Canadian national team at the 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Manila, Phillipines, falling one game short of a berth at the Rio Olympics.
Scrubb, a native of Richmond, BC, is currently back in Ottawa training for the upcoming season.
