NO. 11 LAURIER GOLDEN HAWKS @ NO. 6 BROCK BADGERS
The 11th seed Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks (9-11) will look to upset a higher-seeded team to open the playoffs for the second straight year when they take on the No. 8 Brock Badgers (13-6), the sixth seed in the OUA, on Wednesday night.
Laurier and Brock met once this season in Waterloo in early January with the Badgers coming out on top by a score of 91-67. Waterloo native Dani Elgadi led the way for Brock with 27 points and 16 rebounds
The Hawks and Badgers last met in the postseason in 2013 where Brock upset Laurier on their home court 81-75 on the strength of a strong fourth quarter
Only three players from that contest are still with their respective teams as Will Coulthard and Matt Chesson suited up for Laurier while Nathaniel Gardner was the only current Badger to play in the matchup.
