Gryphon Football: OUA Announces 2024 Football Schedule
GUELPH, Ont. – On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, Ontario University Athletics (OUA) released the 2024 football schedule. The Gryphon football team will officially kick off the 2024 season on a Saturday afternoon in late August, with the Carleton Ravens set to visit the University of Guelph's Alumni Stadium on Saturday, August 24, 2024 to kick off the new OUA football season.

GUELPH, Ont. – For the final time during the 2023-24 season, the University of Guelph Department of Athletics will be highlighting a student-athlete from our Gryphon varsity programs as part of our 'Gryph's Locker Athletes of the Week, presented by Core Power' series. This week's 'Gryph's Locker Athlete of the Week presented by Core Power' recipient is Josh Glasbergen (Gryphons men's volleyball) for the period ending March 17, 2024.

MVB RECAP: Gryphons Fall to Defending National Champions, Trinity Western, in Five Sets in 2024 U SPORTS Men’s Volleyball Consolation Semifinals
KINGSTON, Ont. – A memorable 2023–24 season for the Guelph Gryphons men's volleyball team officially ended on Saturday night (March 16) in Kingston at the 2024 U SPORTS Men's Volleyball Championships. The Gryphons lost in five sets on Saturday night at Queen's University's ARC Gymnasium, in a U SPORTS consolation semifinal matchup versus the defending national champions from Langley, B.C., with the Trinity Western University Spartans. Set scores were 26-24, 23-25, 25-15, 21-25 & 9-15.

CURLING RECAP: Gryphons Finish 6th at 2024 U SPORTS/Curling Canada Championships
FREDERICTON, NB – After four days of competition in Fredericton, the Gryphons men's curling team finished in 6th-place at the 2024 U SPORTS Curling Championships, hosted by the University of New Brunswick. The Gryphons were represented by Jayden King (skip), Daniel Del Conte (lead), Gavin Lydiate (second), Dylan Niepage (vice) and Carter Bryant (alternate), and booked a spot at nationals thanks to their OUA bronze medal finish back in February. With eight teams from across Canada making up the field for the 2024 U SPORTS Curling Championships, the Gryphons played a total of seven games during the round robin portion of the tournament, with action taking place at UNB's Aitken Centre starting on Tuesday night (March 12) and wrapping up Friday evening (March 15). The Gryphons posted a 3-4 record during what was an up-and-down week for the OUA bronze medalists, with the Gryphons picking up wins over two of the top teams in the tournament (Dalhousie and Laurier), but ultimately falling one win shy of moving on to the semifinal stage.
