PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – Despite an early goal by Thomas Robinson, the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks men's soccer program rebounded to earn a 2-1 victory against the Trent Excalibur.
The Ridgebacks allowed the opening goal in the 24
th minute, where the score stood until the 57
th minute when
Christopher Campoli (Woodbridge, Ont.) scored his sixth of the season.
Ontario Tech's game-winning goal also featured Campoli, who assisted
Fadi Salback's (Bowmanville, Ont.) tally in the 72
nd minute.
Nicholas Miller (Oshawa, Ont.) made one save in the Ontario Tech win, while Evan McLeod turned aside 10 of 12 shots on goal by the Ridgebacks.
On Wednesday the Ridgebacks will host a playoff game at Vaso's Field. They will play the fifth seed in the OUA east, which will be determined during Sunday's matches.
