OSHAWA, Ont. – The No. 2 ranked Ottawa Gee-Gees made their presence known on Friday night in Oshawa as they handily defeated the Ontario Tech University women's basketball team 98-51.
Friday's loss continues a tough stretch for Ontario Tech in their inaugural season as they host three nationally ranked teams in as many games. They hosted the Queen's Gaels in their home opener and will host the No. 4 ranked Carleton Ravens on Saturday night at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Centre.
Tip-off for Saturday's game is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Jolesha Allen-Brown (Oshawa, Ont.) and
Dalyssa Fleurgin (Montreal, Que.) finished with a team-high 11 points apiece for the Ridgebacks.

Vanessa Budimunda (Montreal, Que.) finished with 10 points with a perfect 3-for-3
• Brigitte Lefebvre-Okankwu had a game-high 22 points for the Gee-Gees on 10-for-17 shooting from the floor. Four other Gee-Gees were in double-digits.
• Lefebvre-Okankwu caused the most trouble for the Ridgebacks as she had the lone double-double in the game, finishing with 11 boards, while also leading the game with four steals.

Aprille Whyne (Montreal, Que.) finished with a team-high three steals, while Allen-Brown had six boards to lead the Ridgebacks.
